Serving customers since the 1700s
Our traditional stone-built pub dates back to the 18th century when it operated as a coaching inn, serving the travellers on the A57, the Sheffield to Glossop Turnpike – as it was formerly known.
We offer a great resting place for visitors to this beautiful part of the Peak District National Park, with unrivalled views across the Ladybower Reservoir.
Join us for delicious food, book one of our seven en suite rooms, or simply enjoy a pint of Bateman’s beers, produced by the family company founded in 1874 in rural Lincolnshire.
Whatever your reason for visiting us you’ll feel at home. We’re also dog friendly so feel free to bring your well-behaved pets.
